Representing each state/territory, and forming the basis for each chapter of ‘AUSTRALIAN DANCE forms and scapes – a photographic essay’, is a selection of highly respected and internationally acclaimed Australian dance companies.
Under the guidance of Artistic curator, Gennadi Koutchin a mix of indigenous, classical, traditional and contemporary dance & performing arts companies have been selected to be part of this exciting project. The companies were identified based on their contribution to the Australian dance and arts community over the past 50 years. All have been instrumental in shaping the performing arts landscape in Australia to its present form today.
